For the ruins of the present

In the Golden Age, Jews, Muslims and Christians lived in harmony together in Córdoba. They shared knowledge and supported each other. In believe that everyone contributes a part to society.

Three groups of students from Hamburg, Shaar Ha Negev and Rahat wanted to carry this idea forward into the present - in the form of a joint theater project.

Unfortunately, the day of departure was the 7th of October.

Which is why Only the Hamburg group could travel, while the others faced the onset of war. Out of the deep feeling of speechlessness and powerlessness
this visual poem was created to convey the history,
spirit and architecture of the city. This film was created as a reflection on humanity.

As a silent of hope- for the ruins of the present.

Planning Hamburg: Ideas, Projects and Plans

Hamburg is growing. Germany's largest port city is gearing up for a population of around two million by the year 2030. What direction should Hamburg’s development take? What highlights will we see in the future? Hamburg's planners are placing a new focus on the city's periphery and the urban spaces along the Magistralen, the main road arteries: post-war modernist housing estates will undergo an upgrade to retain quality and affordable housing and facilitate modern workplaces. The key is to achieve an effective mix of uses and a new urban quality of life. In this video, Hamburg's chief urban planner Franz-Josef Höing and other players present ideas, projects and plans from the fields of architecture and urban planning.

01 . The Case

Rückblick auf die Ausstellung „Hamburger Wettbewerbe und Verfahren 2017–2023“

Die Ausstellung der Behörde für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen im Schuppen 29 in der HafenCity zeigte vom 23. Juni bis 14. Juli 2023 das große Spektrum an planerischen Ideen für die Zukunft Hamburgs. Jedes Jahr finden in Hamburg etwa 40 Wettbewerbs- und Planungsverfahren statt, z.B. für Schul-, Wohn- und Kulturbauten, für Infrastruktur, Quartiere, Parks und Plätze. Jeder einzelne Beitrag zu diesen Wettbewerben und Verfahren ist ein Baustein zur Entwicklung der Stadt. Obgleich in der Regel nur ein Entwurf gewinnen kann, sind alle weiteren Einreichungen ebenso reich an Ideen und individuellen Lösungen. Die kreative Fülle, die Planerinnen und Planer sowie Architektinnen und Architekten in jede Entwurfsaufgabe und damit in den städtischen Diskurs einbringen, wurde mit der dreiwöchigen Ausstellung „Die ganze Stadt" im Schuppen 29 auf dem Baakenhöft erstmals der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
